The Whatcom Chief Ferry Set To Change Schedules For Annual Dry Dock

Beginning Saturday, September 7th, travel between Lummi Island and Gooseberry Point will have a few changes. The Whatcom County Chief Vehicle ferry is set to depart for it’s annual dry dock with a foot service only ferry set to be in it’s place. The maximum number of passengers allowed on the passenger ferry at any one time is 55. A passenger shuttle van will run on Lummi Island during this time.

The Whatcom County Chief return is always tentative depending on scale of repairs that must be done. Ferry vehicle parking will continue to be provided and available in the existing areas. For more information, visit the Whatcom County Ferry Website here.
